Hi everyone,
Well, I finally got to make my debut against DC United and it was a great feeling running on to the pitch to take part in a proper league game. Unfortunately, I’ve had one or two set backs since, but I’m close to being fully fit and, of course, looking forward to playing a few more games and bedding into the team a bit more. It was also great that England coach Steve McClaren came out to see me play as well.
Although I haven’t been able to play that much, I have been trying to make the most of my time travelling around the country on the team bus. The United States is huge and there’s so much to see, so its great to wander around the various cities when time allows. The LA Galaxy squad got to take in some of the sites whilst in the capital city of Washington D.C, such as the national monuments which were amazing. It’s great to experience some of the immense history that this country has, and I hope to be able to see a little of each city I travel to during my time here.
But really, the most important thing for me at the moment is to be playing soccer. I want to reassure you all that I am getting there and the excellent treatment that I have been receiving should have me out playing full games very soon.
That’s all for now,
David
