One of the younger clubs in the MLS, Chivas was formed in 2004 and maintains large Hispanic support due to the club’s Mexican links (the co-owner also owns Mexican Club Guadalajara and both clubs share the same colour kit and name). They also share their home ground with LA Galaxy and, as a result, are local rivals.
