Despite having, at one time or another, various familiar names from world football on their roster, the Rapids have never achieved any sustainable success. The likes of Carlos Valderrama, Anders Limpar and ex-England goalkeeper, Chris Woods have played their football in Colorado, but the clubs only honours of note were as runners up in both the MLS and US Open cup.
