Stadium: The Home Depot Center
Galaxy won their first major trophy, the MLS Supporters Shield in 1998, but had to wait until 2001 for their next piece of silverware, the US Open Cup. The following year the club enjoyed one of its most successful seasons, winning both the MLS Cup and Supporters Shield. They won a further double, the MLS and US Open Cups in 2005.
Originally the club played its home games at the Rose Bowl before moving to their own purpose-built stadium, The Home Depot Center in Carson, California in 2003.
Since 2005, the Galaxy has shared their stadium with Chivas USA and their games are regarded as the MLS’s only true derby, known as the Honda SuperClasico.
